Mission Point Kids is our Children’s Ministry here at Mission Point!

It consists of five areas: Mission Point Kids 2, Mission Point Kids 1, PreK, Toddler and Baby. The Mission Point Kids staff would like the opportunity to show you and your family the benefits of age appropriate ministry.


Our goal is not to be a baby sitter, but to develop a personal relationship with your children and your family. We believe that children’s ministry is really about the whole family. That’s why we not only offer a great Sunday program, but also incorporate fun family activities throughout the year. Our staff provides a safe, creative, and fun environment to learn about Jesus.


Here is how we break down the ages:

(0-13 months)

Toddler

(14-36 months)

PreK

(3-5 years-must be potty trained)

MP Kids

(K-5th grade grade)


Times

We offer Mission Point Kids during both of our Sunday morning service. (9 AM & 10:45 AM) You may drop your children off as early as 15 minutes before the service.


Registration & Pick Up

All children’s ministries take place in the lower level at Mission Point (900 W. New York Avenue, Somers Point, NJ, 08244). You may park in the lot behind the church and use the Mission Point Kids entrance. Take the stairs down to Central Park.


The Mission Point Kids Ministry Team looks forward to seeing you and helping your family be ready to seek and find our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Children’s Ministry FAQs

What if my child needs me during service?

We will contact you right away notifying you via the number associated with your child’s check in tag they receive. The number will appear on the bottom of the main screen during service.

Are volunteers background checked?

Yes! Every adult volunteer and helper completes an application, background check, reference check, and must review safety procedures before serving.

What are some other ways we ensure safety?

We strive to make safety our top priority! There is a medic on staff every Sunday in case of emergencies. We have cameras in every room, a Security Team for every Sunday, and ensure there are two volunteers in each room at all times. We also have routine cleanings to keep toys and space as clean and safe as possible!

What if my child has allergies or special needs?

We are an allergy safe environment! Please let our check-in team know of any allergies or accommodations so we can adjust your child’s profile and make any changes to the room necessary.

What if I need to nurse my baby during service?

We have a comfortable nursing room in the MP Kids Zone combined with our Nursery, that has the live service streaming on a TV for you so you don't have to worry about missing the service while being with your little one.

What if my child needs to stay with me during the service or have some one-on-one time?

We totally understand! Every child adjusts at their own pace. We have a cozy space called the “Family Connect Room” where parents can stay with their child, play, and still listen to the live service. It’s perfect for little ones who aren’t quite ready to join a larger group yet. Being in a classroom environment with the parent will help them get used to the feel of a typical kids room, but at their own speed while the parent can still enjoy listening to the service and feel connected to their little one at the same time.
